MEET MIKE
I’m a qualified Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin and specialist Elemental Mandala Vinyasa Yoga Teacher based in South Wales. My yoga journey began during my professional dance training at university in London and has stuck with me ever since. Through the guidance of my mentors Ana Chidzoy, owner of Hotpod Swansea and Jamie Blowers I began my yoga teacher journey in 2019. My background as a professional dancer has fuelled my passion for dynamic and free flowing classes that are tailored to all levels. Let me guide on you on your own yoga journey.
I am currently exploring further training with Matt Giodarno, I am able to hold space for Celtic Cacao Ceremonies and I have just started training to become a Shamanic Healer.
Maya Yoga Wales UK was born in response to the Covid19 Pandemic to help bring people together. 'Maya' in sanskrit is often translated into the unknown, unseen or magic. As a Celtic Pagan, this spoke to me as energy itself is unseen yet all knowing. Lets create magick together.

MY CLASSES

ASHTANGA VINYASA
Following its Ancient Traditions, Ashtanga Vinyasa is a dynamic, challenging and physically meditative class that will move through a set structure of asanas in every class, mainly the Primary Series. Great for beginners

MAYA VINYASA FLOW
My developing signature flow class that takes inspiration from my dance training, Ashtanga Yoga and Mandala Vinyasa. We will connect to the element of the day (Earth, Air, Fire and Water) and we will move the body in a developing flow that will challenege the body and mind. A slightly more challengeing class, but all levels are certainly welcome.

YIN MOBILITY FLOW
My Slow Yin class is a welcome and much-needed break from the stress and speed of day to day life. Grab a mat, don’t forget your water bottle, and relax into a soothing sequence that will leave you feeling centred and renewed. Long held postures to ease muscle tension, deepen our body and breath connection, and improve both mobility and passive flexibility.

ELEMENTAL MANDALA VINYASA
A dynamic class that takes influence from Ashtanga Yoga, Rocket Yoga and Yin Yoga. Connecting deeply to the elements of nature (Earth, Air, Fire and Water) we will charge the body and breath with energy and move through a circular flow that travels around the mat in 360 degrees. A more challenging class but all levels are welcome.
